A-Tisket, A-Tasket... A Bench and Market Basket

I've been listening to Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday for decades, so I couldn't resist the "A-Tisket, A-Tasket" post title. Now if only I could figure out how to have the song play when you open this post... (Please pretend, or hum along.)

Speaking of music, some people play musical chairs... I prefer musical benches. This bench has moved from the yard, to the living room, then into the dining room and it now resides in the entryway. Living the life of a gypsy.

The French market basket was a sweet Mother's Day gift. I've wanted one for a long time. I'll never know how they knew! Except that they didn't. I ordered it. They say it's not the gift but the thought that counts, and I'd been thinking of it for a long time.

I've shared our stairway gallery wall before, and though a simple one, it remains my favorite home project to date. I plan to either add on to this one or frame some more family pictures in our family room over the summer.

Our lilacs are in-bloom, later than usual this year. I wish I could freeze-dry both their color and their scent, but we'll enjoy them while they last!

Thank you for visiting. Hope your day is going well!
